What is Zen anyway?

One way to think of Zen is this:  It’s a way of being – not doing.

A state of presence that incorporates a unified awareness of body, mind and spirit.  Zen involves dropping illusions and seeing things without the distortions created by our opinions, beliefs, thoughts and emotions.  It takes practice.

Zen invites us to connect with Christ, not from the outside

…but from the center of our heart,

… from moment to moment.

About Us

Patti’s background is photography and art!  For 17 years she operated a very successful studio in Florida .  “After moving to Cookeville in 2009 and experiencing the terror of a tornado in 2012 by wiping out our home and, pretty much, everything we owned  …all in 3 minutes.  It was the Miracle of Divine guidance that led me to get into the bathtub with my mother only seconds before the tornado hit.  From that experience everything in my life shifted,    … everything.”

Her new passion shifted more in the complementary healing direction, with a renewed passion for healing her trauma. Also passion for helping others find balance, understanding and control over their own wellbeing.  After extensive research and 6 years of training in Trauma Therapy, Energy Healing, Nutrition, and now Neurofeedback, she brings a new and growing modality of self care to Cookeville.  Art to Zen Alternative Wellness Center of Cookeville is the result.   WITH THE DESIRE TO CREATE A WELLNESS CENTER FOCUSED ON “HEALING FROM THE INSIDE.
